I feel the need to say that Deadmau5 is one of my favorite electronic artists tearin’ shit up right now in the dance world! Toronto based Joel Zimmerman is ranked #14 according to TheDJList, and after an awe-inspiring performance last Sunday @ The Showbox in Seattle, there’s little chance I’m the only one who feels the need to gush over this guy.

“Random Album Title”, his first album release, won the 2009 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year, and in 2008, Beatport recognized Deamau5 as the Best Electro House/Best Progressive House artist of the year.

His latest mixed album, “For Lack of a Better Name” continues to amaze me with each listen and if any of you have seen me DJ within the last 4 months, you have heard plenty of Deadmau5 in my sets!

So this one goes out to Joel Zimmerman, thanks for everything you’ve put into your music. It is an incredible gift.

Here are a few songs from the man himself, enjoy.

Hi.

Ahh the UK. So wonderful…

“Exploding onto the scene at the end of 2008 with remixes of The
Secret Machines and Crystal Fighters, KiD COLA immediately caught
the attention of music fans, producers and radio shows around the
globe.
Within months this 21-year-old producer has had tracks played on
Radio 1 and Kiss FM as well as featuring in IDJ magazine. Along the way
he’s won over such scene luminaries as Kissy Sell Out, Andy George &
Jaymo , Loose Cannons and Frankmusik.
The hype has led to KiD COLA djing all around the U.K. He’s
appeared alongside upcoming artists like Grum and Fenech-Soler as
well as high profile sets supporting the likes of Laidback Luke at
London’s Matter
Now with his first single ‘First Floor Elevator’ out on Parisian label
Madame Visage and more releases on the way we can all expect big
things from this young producer in 2010…”

Here’s some free tunage..
